The Attitude of al-Ghazali toward Speculative Theology (Kalam) / Ahmad Mohammad Ahmad Gali

The objective of this article is to study the attitude of Imam Abu-Hamid al-Ghazali toward speculative theology, the method used by different schools of thought such as the Mu‘tazilites. The Ash'arites and the Maturidites.Although al-Ghazali belongs to the Ash’arite school.the period of scepti- cism through which he passed made him free to study and evaluate speculative theology in an objective way.
