The Hadiths Containing the Phrase "Laisa Minnaa" in the Six Books of Hadith / Adel Abd alShakoor Al Zuragi

This research is concerned with the study of the Hadiths mentioned in "Al-Kutub Assittah" (the Six Books of Hadith, that
contain the Arabic phrase "laisa minnaa" (He is not considered one of us …",; the phrase describes a particular person as excluded from the
fold of committed Muslims. The research aims to identify the Hadiths containing the phrase, to gather scholarly views on the identified
Hadiths and to explore the intended meanings in the Hadiths. It identifies and ranks the Hadiths in terms of validity, reliability and meaning
as well as the weakness or strength of the chain of narrators. The research also studies related supporting evidences wherever necessary. The
research recommends that great care be given to understanding such negative phrases, especially in the study of Hadith statements.
