Virtue of Early Presence for the Friday Prayer: Ibn-Aws's Hadith / Sultan Altubeshi
This research studies Ibn-Aws's Hadith on the virtue of going to the mosque early for the Friday prayer. It's objective is to investigate the Hadith in terms of narrative and meaning. It follows an inductive approach. The research has made the following conclusions: Ibn-Aws's Hadith is rated as sahih (sound,; no reasons are found to undermine its soundness; no evidence to relate the Hadith soundness via narratives by other sahaabis (companions of Prophet Mohammad,; the Hadith mentions the virtues of such activities as the whole body wash, leaving for the mosque early, going on foot, being nearer to the preacher and listening carefully to the sermon; and whoever does these activities is promised great rewards by Allah. The research recommends that due attention be given to the narration sources and terms of problem Hadiths so that they can be better understood.
