This research deals with issue of concealment in terms of forms and consequences, with particular reference to Surat Al-
Baqarah. It aims to show the meaning of concealment, the difference between concealment and its synonyms, such as hiding, keeping
something secret and keeping something quiet, etc. It also shows the forms of concealment and its consequences in this world and the
Hereafter. The research adopts an analytical inductive approach. The most important findings of the research are: concealment of the truth
has dangerous implications; Allah knows whatever one conceals; the concealment of the truth is a great cause of disbelief, aberration among
several communities and sects, present and past; the consequences of concealing the truth vary according to the form and degree of
concealment. Those among researchers and students of religious studies that are concerned with the truth, and hence its concealment should
give special attention to the issue of truth concealment comprehensively. They should reflect on the issue of concealment in the Surah in
question so that they can do their duty towards revealing the truth, promoting it and warning against concealing it.
